Mayans: Down for the Count?

Wichita

While yesterdays election wasn't the general election that is going to put a new mayor in the office, Carlos Mayans couldn't have been more handely defeated in yesterdays Mayoral Primary if he were a Confederate General at Gettysburg. City Councilman Carl Brewer beat incumbent Carlos Mayans by more than 2 to 1, with a total vote count of 57% of the general election.

Thankfully, our beloved King David Davis, who wanted to treat the City Council like his wife and never argue in front of the children (Wichita), only attracted 1% of the popular vote. If you were to have voted King David Davis, from the sounds of it he would have installed a "Bat Signal" on top of City Hall and flown with his cape around town "defending the citizens against local government...." ?

Anyway, if you're interested in seeing who you DIDN'T get elected into the Mayors seat, I'll post some videos to show just what you were missing :)

There is a downside to having liberal invasions. Can we not see any more payday loan ads? Those ads/businesses offend those of us who wear panties, believe in social justice, and sometimes drink "primo" merlots. As you may have noted, I have been at the WE Blog for so long that I add my own troll remarks, if some brain-dead troll is not readily available to do so. I hope to someday get over this malady.

Wow. You have to log in with a password and a live e-mail address.

If The Eagle had this, practically all their trolling problems would be solved.

'Course they'd lose half their "hits" because a sizable number are coming from that one post-er that goes by the name of Khan these days.

Thanks for the emancipation!

"Oh quit crying you panty-waste!"

Those other "parts" - those "alters" - just won't shut up...

I am hoping some peace and quiet on a sane blog will help. In signing up here I inadvertantly got a website, too. Maybe I will rename it "the Sanatorium for WE Blog users - who just can't take it anymore."

Are we crashing someone's party? Is this a person's blog (vs public ...) and we're here uninvited? At least all any of us will do is add posts and that doesn't sound harmful.

I hope I can figure out how to use this place. Must admit I'm slower than the average so if I disappear out there in cyberspace send a search party!

The boycott at the WEBlog is already starting to have an effect.

Posts are showing in "new posts" column for an hour or more.

I'm posting here what I want to post over there. I would like to tell GS and ksgrm in the thread titled, "Exactly What Is a Terrorist," that I think many of them are angry people. But in respect of the boycott...

If an army of ANY country set down in my neighborhood, my town, or even my country with their tanks, guns, and thousands of soldiers I would be a very angry person. I would feel the need to protect my family and my home and could very likely be called a terrorist because my cause would be one I would be willing to put down my life for.

So what I think a terrorist might well be are very angry people who are protecting their family, their homes, their country from an occupying army of the U.S. of A.

Even if I posted over there, GS would turn my words inside out and ksgrm would make me so angry that anyone could be so blind to the facts I would need to be very quiet and not post in reply.

Finally caught up with you guys...thanks for all the sympathy today.
I'm still pretty bummed out about the column thing. I wish it could have waited until after the election; there are still a lot of important issues to be addressed.
