As usual, I posted on the wrong Open Thread.....

Good morning!!!! Random thoughts......

I certainly have compassion for Stonewall Tony Snow, but I wonder how the right is going to respond in light of their response to Elizabeth Edwards.

As I posted last night, they were all over Katie Couric, but they gave Limbaugh a pass on his "Edwards is jump starting his campaign" comment.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Republican.

Tomorrow morning I am going to embark on a frightening and epic journey - I am going Downtown to both the Police Headquarters and the IRS office. I am planning to begin drinking heavily when and if I return.

It looks like the Bush Admin is circling the wagons and trying to decide which victim to toss out to the Natives. Who is going to be the Scooby Doo Libby for this scandal. To hear the Cons discuss it, this is no issue, but they fail to see the politicalization of Justice. I noticed that during Gonzoloes interview on NBC yesterday that he was apparently going back to the "performance" rationale for the firings of the Gonzo Eight.

Yesterday, Rosie O'Donnell referred to the Iranian - British crisis as "Gulf of Tolkin." Now, I am no fan of O'Donnell, but I have to wonder if there is a grain of truth in there somewhere......

"U.S. launches show of force in Persian Gulf

Aircraft carriers, warplanes feature in maneuvers off the coast of Iran."

"WEll, WS, I don't change my nic, so I can't relate to your need to hide behind skirts." from GSheridan.....

Apparently the right is so afraid of me that they see me behind every new liberal poster. So far, I have been Tom, Joe and Karl.

But for the record, since I left WE Blog, I have NEVER made a post on WE Blog. I committed to this boycott and have decided that I will not return.

If the boycotters decide to return, I will make one final post with the group as a whole. That will be it.

Oh, and GSheridan, my REAL name is William Stephenson Clark. Other than the infamous Jew Boy finger poster from last fall, this is the only nic I have used on any blog.

I use MY real name. I do not fear anyone.

Don't read there, Will. (JUST a suggestion! You are an adult you has every right to read wherever you please!) It is much more peaceful for me now that I don't. Ask yourself if you've learned anything that helps you understand an issue, adds a resource you didn't know of, adds value to your intellect or life in any way. I asked and found the answers to all be no, so it was easy to walk away without wondering what I might be missing. I miss nothing! We all have "the google," so are able to find enough info to help us determine the truth of most issues. The opinions that matter to me aren't posted there.

WS,

Good luck with the police and the IRS. From the sounds of it that sounds like a pretty bad mess that needs to get resolved. I'll certainly keep you in my thoughts.

Other thoughts, I suppose that some of the conservatives don't like that idea, that they can't pick on you. *rolls eyes* Some days I'm ashamed to be fairly conservative, however, I'm really conservative about issues regarding life and the protection of it. If that means needing to support some liberal concepts to protect life, then so be it.

I visit the WE Blog once or twice a day for the S & G factor. I do find it hilarious when they accuse every new liberal of being me or Capn', etc. To be honest, I have never been tempted to reply.

The best and funniest part of lurking is seeing posts from GSher and Khan acting all outraged that someone has posted something insulting. The two absolute worst offenders are now the King and Queen of WE Blog. Just for clarification, GSheridan is the King.

And Danny, we are happy to have you join us. Contrary to WE Blog folklore, we do not EAT our young!

OMG! I read Clark's posts here and went over there to see about the fuss. First of all Linda, you are correct. Nothing but the same ol' shills over there. Jeebus, and someone is cutting and pasting our words over there? I wonder if that violates some copywrite law? I stated in no uncertain terms the other day that I DID NOT want anything I wrote to be pasted over there. And now? hehehehehehehehehehehehhe. I continue to be mystified that anyone would care what I write here.

Whoever is yanking their chain must have the collar choking tight by now. AHEHEHE. heheheheheheheheeheh. (Deep breath) hee hee hee hee hee!

I agree Linda, it is better to stay away, but SOMEONE is really giving them a dose of their own medicine. Hell, even the nic stealing troll is back! I havent seen him since...

Hey. You dont suppose it is IAN there working them over? He'd LOVE to get Clark in trouble. I notice they are indeed very paranoid. hee hee hee hee. My friend Tom Witt posted over there a few times and they all thought HE was Clark.

WS,

I realized that on WE blog when I first discovered it. Surprised it took me that long to begin with. Like I said, I try to make an honest attempt at seeing both sides of an issue, and generally I err on the side of caution.

A good example, global warming, I do things like recycle, use the cool little florescent bulbs, and don't drive when I can walk or ride my bike. Yet, I don't have the doom and gloom of the GW theorists because I want to read and understand the data involved with it and determine for myself, is this really as bad as it is said to be.

Oh yeah, getting the IP address from the users point of view is likely an improbability. Further, one of them mentioned MAC addresses(I don't recall who), and it is tied to hardware to be sure, but even it can be spoofed.

Second, your IP address can be logged by the server on just viewing the site, no need to actually post anything. Just look at how TCP/IP works, it is what is called a 'connection' oriented protocol, part of that means both sides identify each other in some fashion. So, yes, the host of the WE blog site can and maybe does have IP address logs, but users are highly unlikely to have that.

I probably didn't have to tell you that here, but I thought I would as I know some worry about that. Anyway... yeah. Now that my lunch is over, I'm going back to work.

All,

"Christopher Tolkien has completed the last book of J.R.R. Tolkien from notes left from his father."

The ultimate question is how much of a quality difference will there be; for instance the difference between Dune and Dune: House Atriedes is a pretty big gap. But in my experience, Christopher Tolkien has always taken a good, cautious approach when it comes to his father's work so here's to hoping.

I can admit, the Silmarillion at first wasn't a good book, but reading it again(recently) it really had grown on me and I do like it alot now.

Analysis of how the Army fouled up in the Tillman matter:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/03/27/shepperd.tillman/...

I just cannot let go of this one; while I was safely ensconced behind a desk in Indiana during my USAF days, and did not see combat, there's a certain fraternal feeling which develops towards those who have worn/are wearing the uniform regardless. My internal feelings on this aren't fit for public consumption; I find that when I try to articulate the same, my finely-honed NCO vocabulary takes over, and folks (rightfully) quit listening. :-)

IMHO, the worst of this tragedy is the way the family has been "jerked around" during this whole ordeal. I hope that there is a Congressional investigation of this fiasco. The Army (again, IMHO) was desparate for a recruiting poster icon, and went for it; ethics be damned.

As I feel the NCO vocabulary coming on, I cease for now.

.morg,

About Runescape, I wasn't making something exactly like that. Currently, I'm just developing card and puzzle games(have two of those completed in such a way that multiple instances of those are supported concurrently, each with multiple players).

However, in the background I've been storyboarding an idea for an as yet unnamed, unannounced RPG. Understand, if I don't go into great detail about that at the moment, I've already had one idea of mine stolen, it isn't happening again.

It however, will not be multiplayer, and likely will have some fairly steep system requirements. However, I thought I'd respond here from the open a few days ago, I did read your response at the time wasn't sure how to respond. Currently, game development is just a hobby for me.

Vaughn, I agree that this tragedy is almost unbearable for the family.

But I'm tellin' ya, the Tillman thing is an example of the "scandal a day" strategy being used by bushco as they run the clock out. You think it is an accident that we lurch from scandal to scandal?

Remember how we used to make fun of the repukes and say "look, a bright and shiny object"? Well I think that is what they are doing with these scandals. Oh, they are real scandals for sure. But there are so many of them, and they are "leaked" with such rapidity, that one cant help to think it is almost orchestrated.

Almost? Hell, it IS orchestrated.

So the body responsible for the resulting investigations, whether DoJ or Congress or GAO or the IG at the pentagon, just never seem to quiet get to the bottom of things enough for many indictments or convictions. Why? Well hell, they just get started, and if they do get too deep, someone blows a lot of smoke or sand, and they are off to the races on another DIFFERENT investigation. Only to be diverted yet again with yet another different scandal.

See what I mean?

I cant remember if this was Star Trek or Twilight Zone or WTF. They jettisoned everything from their craft in a trail to make the following enemy think they had destroyed the ship. But they just had to make the finish line and then they would be gone without a trace.

I think that is what bushco is doing. They are dumping things as fast as they can, they may even dump fuel and oxygen and food if they think it will get them over the finish line and they can be gone without a trace. They will dump anything not to lighten their load, but to create obstacles for the mob following them. Just slow the mob long enough to get away.

It is a hallmark of rove that you take YOUR weakness and pin it on your opponent. It's just sickening to hear the repukes question our patriotism and call us America haters. When that is actually the M.O. of their own people.

I wonder if we will catch them before they hit hyperspace...

.morg,

I'll keep that in mind. I'll contact you anyway, but currently it is in the very early process. I suspect the game will likely make a T or M rating though, and that will be likely be because of story.

I've been thinking of a dual world RPG, by that one that takes place in the 'real' world of the character, and one within a more 'dream' or 'psychological' world. Beyond that, the details I have currently are remaining very closely guarded. Coding this solo though isn't going to be easy, I've really only made significant on the graphics engine for it and some on the work on the physics model, and I've concentrated mostly in writing this in C#, so it may be Windows and perhaps XBox 360 material.

For graphics, I had to learn how to use matrix algebra to do things like rotations and such, for physics, well that seems easy at the moment, ask me again in a few weeks and I'll let you know.

LH, .morg, etc,

I'll play for along for this. If the IP address were actually gotten some how then:
1. it was obtained because someone knows someone on the server side of things.
2. it was obtained because someone broke into the server and stole logs which may or may not have contained the information(illegal)
3. was sniffing packets going in and out at WEblog(which likely for someone without a healthy knowledge of computers would look pretty damned meaningless).
4. if assuming one of the first three occured, then would have to trace the IP address back to the ISP that owns it
5. to top it off would have to convince that ISP to leak out their customers information, and without a warrant of some type I'm sure that just isn't going to happen
6. know someone willing to leak out customer information at said ISP
7. then match up all the IP addresses with times things were posted to times the packets arrived.. and then further make an assumption that this was the person in question

Yeah... I'm thinking no it didn't happen

To make a long story short, I had to go through TypePad to get my ability to post reinstated. The WE Blog folks were not able to do it.

The funny thing is, however, that they can CLAIM they picked up my addy all they want - since I did not post anything over there - it's all academic.

But it is funny - GSher is STILL ranting about me!

Packet sniffing. If you got a laugh out of that LH, just wait theres more...

Packet sniffing involves either going through a proxy and just recording all traffic in and out of that proxy. Nothing major, or setting a computer on a network and then setting up its network card to be in promiscuous mode. Basically, what this does it ignores the fact that it should only listen for things directed to it, and instead listens to everything. Thus, "packet sniffing". Look up a program called Ethereal and WinPcap. They will have much more detailed explanations on this than I.

I know enough about how to do it, but I'll be honest, I have no need to do it. Primarily the good purpose behind it is to troubleshoot network problems, however with everything good there can be people who use it for rather bad purposes.

What can be "sniffed"? Everything. Granted, I'm not entirely certain off the top of my had how to go about capturing packets directed at a webserver not from something on my own network, but my understanding is it can be done.

That was before the contest was officially announced. But I have the night off tonight, so I am sure that I will have an opportunity to bring my razor wit to bear on the situation!

I am glad that I put off my trip on the Downtown Train until tomorrow. I am truly enjoying watching Sheridan get all best out of shape about me while I am doing absolutely nothing. Khan is weighing in on how that my addy could be blocked, etc, when I am just sitting here in my little treehouse.

I wouldnt ride in any small planes if I were her :)

Dan Froomkin titled today's column "Bush's Monica Problem" It hadn't even dawned on me until I read it that the name of the Justice Department's White House liaison who is "taking the fifth," is Monica Goodling. Could this be any more ironic!?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/links...

"...it's not at all clear what she's trying to say. Undeniably, if she chose to lie to the panel, she could face perjury charges. Her recourse, therefore, would appear to be to tell the truth.

So is she saying that if she told the truth, she would have to admit a crime? What crime?

Or is she saying something else: That she'd have to admit someone else's criminal behavior? Well, that's not something you can take the Fifth to avoid. Sorry.

Or is she just afraid of being grilled by an antagonistic bunch of congressmen? Well, that's not something you can take the Fifth to avoid either."

Sorry to take up space here, but I need to get a message to Dave. Tech won't let me add him as a friend right now, and I don't want him to think I'm ignoring his messages.

So, Dave, I'm aka Rox, and thanks for sending the message! I'll play around with things for a little while, before I send off some emails with the link. I hope that's okay. :)

P.S. Glad you liked the banner. It goes with the website that isn't currently available. Maybe in April? Can we add another 8 hours to my day? Never mind. That would be a disaster.

Yeah Linda, the Froomkin article was the one that got me thinking. The off site servers with gwb43 and the others is also an interesting conundrum for the criminals in chief.

If they want to claim executive privlege on those emails, and supposedly kkkarl rove sent 95% of his emails through those non white house accounts, then they have to admit they used those email accounts to CIRCUMVENT the law regarding archiving records.

If they try to claim that those servers were used for political, not governent business, then they cant claim executive privelege. :)

All the kings horses and all the kings men, might not be able to put chimpy together again...

First, Linda, thanks for the link; it is somewhat reassuring to me that my incapability to understand the assertion of the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination is also shared with others of legal training. I've been puzzling since I heard of her decision over this decision. Her counsel's statement is not helpful in my decision making; one way to read it is that she would subject herself to perjury charges by testifying under oath, and she wishes to avoid this. Curiously, merely testifying under oath in a truthful manner would not expose her to perjury charges. Maybe my focus is too narrow; perhaps (look out, here I go) she is concerned that testifying under oath in a truthful manner exposes her to some other form of criminal liability. While the mere firing of a U.S. Attorney is not obstruction of justice, it may become such (or a related crime) if the intent of those "in power" was to hinder an on-going criminal investigation; and if she was involved in the discussions, knew what was intended, might there be a conspiracy charge "out there"? I'd better stop on this one while I'm (theoretically) still ahead.

Second, WSC; damn it, now I've got what I consider similar images.

VT, that is exactly what I have been reading all over the internet today. You cant just refuse to testify because such testimony MIGHT prove you engaged in criminal activity. Testifying truthfully under oath is not a perjury trap.

Like I said, this may be a coded cry for immunity. I say give it to her and make her sing. Then put her in the witness protection program before she finds any horse heads in her bed.

Hell of a way to end a career, eh?

Yeah, lh; but, a condition of immunity is to testify truthfully as to all matters brought forward, and there might be something there which she's really concerned about; not her own liability, but that of others with the power to put a horse's head in her bed. I would also concur about the way her current career is ending; and I suspect, but do not know, there are limited career opportunities for female graduates of Liberty School of Law in the best of times.

It wouldnt surprise me if Monica either dreamed up the scheme, or at least knew about it and SHE was communicating via the same channels since she was the DOJ point person for communicating with the WH. Which in this case would be Karl "gwb43.com" Rove.

She is absolutely small potatoes - no big deal - a minor player. Give her immunity and impress upon her prior to testifying that any perjury will result in serious jail time.

She is only 33 and claims the mantle of "Christian" lawyer. That is fine, but Jesus said nothing about lying being acceptable if it was to protect a criminal act by your superiors. She is not going to want to surrender her law license and her future at this point.

As has been said, many, many times, it is not the crime, it is the coverup.

Damn, it is starting to feel like 1974 all over again.

A bit like the "Grey Zone?"

For those of you not familiar with the reference, the Grey Zone was a movie starring Harvey Keitel about the Jews that assisted the Nazis in the gas houses in Auschwitz in exchange for postponing their own executions. David Arquette and Steve Buscemi also starred in the movie.

The refernce is to the "moral grey zone."

In case you cant tell, I loved Barbara dearly. I uses her words in my testimony about the hate amendment. I used this part.

"My faith in the Constitution is whole, it is complete, it is total. I am not going to sit here and be an idle spectator to the diminution, the subversion, the destruction of the Constitution."

But these words, from the same speech casting her vote on the committee, are strikingly prophetic. Proving that the Constitution and those who love it are timeless. That same day, she also said:

"The powers relating to impeachment are an essential check in the hands of this body, the legislature, against and upon the encroachment of the Executive. In establishing the division between the two branches of the legislature, the House and the Senate, assigning to the one the right to accuse and to the other the right to judge, the framers of this Constitution were very astute. They did not make the accusers and the judges the same person.

We know the nature of impeachment. We have been talking about it awhile now. It is chiefly designed for the President and his high ministers to somehow be called into account. It is designed to "bridle" the Executive if he engages in excesses. It is designed as a method of national inquest into the conduct of public men. The framers confined in the Congress the power, if need be, to remove the President in order to strike a delicate balance between a President swollen with power and grown tyrannical and preservation of the independence of the Executive."

Timeless.

You can read, see, and hear the entire speech here:

Nancy can do it, I have no doubt, but few women will ever be able to match the oratorical skills of Barbara Jordan. Despite the passage of time, I well remember her speeches during the Watergate period.

Nancy is not that type of speaker, but she is a damned tough lady. She can do that little bright smile routine all she wants, but I have no doubt that she has kicked her fair share of asses and has a lengthy list of names. The media calls her a San Francisco liberal, but they forget that she grew up in a Democratic Italian family in Baltimore.

I would not want to cross her.

What an interesting day. And that's not countin the dozen and a half eggs I cleaned off my carpet and furniture after the grandkids got into the refrigerator.

I'd feel sorry for QB (that's Queen B for short. You can decide what the B is for), if I had any pity left for people like it. Let them continue as they are, and pretty soon, nobody will care. Other than comic relief, I don't pay much attention what goes on there anymore.

As for the current Monica, I wondered at the time the announcement regarding taking the 5th was announced just what it was she was afraid of saying. As Linda pointed out, it can only be used to insulate oneself against crimes committed by self. Or at least that's what I always thought.

So which will be more interesting to watch? Crimes by BushCo or at that other place which has no name?

If Bill Clinton had conducted himself in office like Bush has done, the Republicans would be screaming for EXECUTION, not impeachment.

God, if this was not so sad for my country, I would have to laugh.

We need a Constitutional Admendment that allows us to neuter a President on a temporary basis. All of Bushes power needs to be removed (along with Cheney's) and a sufficient time period needs to be allowed so that SOMEONE can slap some sense into the administration.

I know what you meant, Linda. At least Bush has proven that we are absolutely capable of electing two losers in a row. And, if Algore had won last time, we'd be batting 3 for 3. I truly do believe if that had happened we would actually be in worse shape than we are now. But, there's little satisfaction in thinking we are only 100' deep in the shit, instead of 110' deep.

And, if you think this is bad, if Billary is the next, God help us all. Bush has been a stunning disappointment, mostly due to the fact that he's not the brightest candle in the chandelier surrounded by a cadre of self-serving provacauteurs, but I don't believe he is inherently evil. She is evil, personified. I could not be loyal to the office of the Presidency, if she were occupying the Oval Office. The United States has never had a successful coup d' etat, and I pray it never does. But she is elected, there will be, and we will have truly achieved the status we seem to be seeking -- another third world, financially and morally bankrupt, "has-been".

Bush appears to be waist deep in the shit right about now, with no one to throw him a life preserver. The tragic thing for Republicans is that he brought it on himself. Unfortunately, it is also tragic for the country as well. From the looks of the Senate vote today, it would appear that the Republican Senators are going to let Bush try to swim to shore on his own.

Damn, do y'all recall back in 2001 that the Republicans were saying there everything was going to be fine because the grownups were back in charge.

It would also appear that the Tillman Family feels that there is a possibility that Pat's death may not have been an accident. That is almost more than I can comprehend. If I felt that was in anyway a possibility, I would be Sheehaning on the White House lawn until I got an answer.

The whole Pat Tillman story is a sobering one, to say the least, especially since his mother has revealed that he thought the War on Iraq was illegal and immoral. Given that, I wonder how long it will be before the Reich Wing Hit Machine is turned on the Tillman Family.

"I call you by your screen name and I expected to be called by my screen name, not someone elses." - Republican.

This is from the Blogger that referred to me as "Heevie" with his very first post addressed to me.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Republican.

And they wonder why we boycotted?

Just wanted to let LH and WS know that I'm watching Keith right now and will watch Real Time at midnight.

Once again, persistence pays off.

Since Dave JM Khan copies and pastes my posts here onto the WE Blog..............

"Admission by WSClark on the Wichita Voice Blog... Khan"

Nope, if you read my posts, Dave, you will see that I have been laughing uproariously about your WE Bloggers today. The post comment was in quotes. Even Fleetwood, with his 63 IQ, could recognize that.

Since you are lurking about, Khan, you never did answer, Khan, why did you refer to me as "Heevie" with your very first post?

If you are lurking about, GMC, I first welcomed Paul to this Blog, but I immediately asked him to back off when he took unwarranted shots at Farm Grrl and Linda Inks.

I asked nicely once.

That is my style - I only ask nicely once.

It is interesting GMC, Khan calls me Heevie, an admitted variation on "Heeb" and also an acknowledged ethnic slur and you "holier than thou" right wingers have no problem with it.

But you want to call me out.

Why are you folks so afraid of me? Yes, I check in on WE Blog periodically. I find it hilarious that GSher and Khan are so fixated on me. Also, I am making a list of liberal posters that I am going to invite to join us over here.

But anyway, since the boycott began, I have not posted on WE Blog. I could care less what you or anyone else thinks of me. Actually, I rather enjoy the hatred directed towards me by Fleet, Khan, GSher, HOG, SOB, Nuts, Sollie and others.

I can assure you that I would never consider any of you to be worth my respect.

You criticize me, but you are more than willing to overlook racial, homophobic and ethnic slurs on your side.

Now, THAT takes gall.

For the WV Bloggers - my last two posts were responses to comments addressed to me on WE Blog........ since they had been checking our comments on this blog and I will NOT post on that Blog, I can only answer direct questions here.

This is sad. The right seems to be very happy to overlook the attacks from their side, but they want o call us out for our return fire.

I am so glad that I joined this boycott and I am so glad that they are not going back.

Just a quick FYI - now the wingnuts are attacking Vaughn Tolle on WE Blog. Check out GMC's comments on WE Blog Open Thread at 1:42 AM today.

There are some that immediately earn respect on the blogs - I would suggest that VT is near the top of the list. I would also include Dr. Huie on that list as well.

As I said, this is sad.

.morg, I've heard and read pretty much the same as what's in that article for the last two years. We (the U.S.) have destroyed that country. It's a pity, because if the invasion had been done correctly, there wouldn't be the mess there is.

What do we expect the people of a nation that doesn't have clean drinking water, electricity, medical attention and the basics we take for granted to do? Unemployment there is extremely high. People join the insurgency as a means to fight back against the poverty we've given them. All we had to do was look at our own country to see that poverty and desperation lead to anger and retaliation. It's right there with the gangs.

Yeah, Iraq is FUBAR, and the U.S. can take credit for that.

rm, I think it took "something" for you to admit bush has failings (ref: last night's post of 8:16 pm) SO I will leave alone those places we do differ.

Looking to the future, is there a candidate (announced or speculated) you think has a chance of getting us on better footing economically, diplomatically, and maybe making a dent in the partisanship “hole” we Americans are in. Is there a “Ford” on the horizon anywhere?

I think it will take more than a new president. IMO if the American people get themselves to the polls and actually show our politicians we are paying attention and intend to hold them accountable, we may start to make some progress. But as it is we have Congress filled with less-than-effective and even less-than-capable people who know we aren’t paying enough attention. If they get caught on something they feel pretty confident it won’t be remembered long enough to affect the next election. And we’ve proved them right overandover.

Pre, The U.S. can take credit ONLY to the extent that we elected this fool and then allowed he and his to have their way with us and other countries. And isn't it telling that you and I are willing to accept some responsibility (as U.S. citizens) but those who are truly responsible accept none?

Linda: I'd like to say that that Chuck Hagel, Bill Richardson and Joe Lieberman are honest and searching for a better direction for this country. I'd "like" to say that ... unfortunately, the only thing I'm sure of is that they're saying the things I want to hear. Are they what what I hope they are, or are they just "slicker" than the rest at appealing to people like me? Certainly, none of the "front runners" names appeal to me, and one, of course, makes me vomit. It's too bad she can't be voted "off the planet" in the ultimate reality show.

I don't know anything about Chuck Hagel, and too little about Bill Richardson. Joe Lieberman has disappointed me and is "out of favor" in my book. It is so early and there is so much time to go, I haven't paid careful attention yet. Some are better known -- warts and all -- so no digging necessary. Or if we dig I suspect we aren’t going to find GOOD, but more discouraging. Usually it’s not the good we need to dig to find. I'm sure hoping we come out of the caucuses and primaries with candidates worthy of being voted FOR. I know America is in need of such. I’m not a huge fan of the way we select the candidates. I’m not a huge fan of the Electoral College. I also think voter fraud is real and makes a mockery of those too few of us who are loyal to voting. So, we have a pile of problems before we even get to the candidates. And I can’t get this question out of my mind: If someone wants to run for public office in today’s world, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOPING ON IN THEIR HEAD? I suspect too little…

ooops, should have been: what in the world is GOING on in their head? I still think it might be that not much is going on there. Too many have proven it's little beyond a desire to be powerful and rich...

For many, many years, one nagging question has lingered in the back of my mind. Why would anyone, with a lick of sense, spend $20 or $30 million dollars to get a job what pays $175,000 +/- for only six years ... and then have to turn around and do it all over again to keep it?

Is it because it's "other peoples' money"? Or is it because the "under the table" deals more than make up for it? Or is it because power is a better sex trip than "flashin' their wienies" in the City Park?

I don't know what's "GOING on in their head"? Finding out could be interesting, but I suspect we would find it neither pleasant nor enlightening.

The truth of your comic relief is appreciated and agreed with!

I think someone teaching how to relax as a public speaker advised thinking of the audience wearing only their underwear. I'm now going to picture our "elected officials" flashin' their wienies in the city park. And I think it will help!

Still giggling...
